SEAT COVER

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION


Front

See Figures 1 and 2

  1. If equipped with power seats, disconnect the negative battery cable.

  2. Slide the front seat belt out of the front seat strap loop shield.

WARNING
Use care when handling the seat and track assembly. Dropping the assembly or sitting on a seat not secured in the vehicle may result in damage to the seat or track.
  1. Remove the push-pins and the front seat track-to-floor insulator nuts and bolts.

  2. Remove the two bolts and nuts retaining the seat to the floor, then disengage the wiring harness connectors and remove the seat from the vehicle.

To install:

  1. Position the seat in the vehicle and reattach the wiring harness connectors.

  2. Install the seat-to-floor retaining bolts and nuts; tighten the fasteners to 25-34 ft. lbs. (34-46 Nm).

  3. Install the front seat track-to-floor insulator nuts and push-pins.

  4. Position the seat belt strap in the loop shield, then connect the negative battery, if applicable.


Rear


SEAT CUSHION

See Figure 3

  1. Release the anchor pins from their locks by pressing the release button under the rear seat cushion.

  2. Pull the rear safety belt and buckle through the openings in the rear seat cushion pad and frame, then remove the cushion pad and frame.

To install:

  1. Position the seat cushion in the vehicle, then route the safety belts and buckles through the cushion and frame openings.

  2. Press down on the seat cushion until the anchor pins fully engage their retaining locks.


SEAT BACK

  1. Remove the rear seat cushion.

  2. For convertible models, perform the following:

    1. Remove the two bolts retaining the rear seat back pad and frame to the body.

    2. Lift the seat back pad and frame up to detach the retaining hooks from the crossmember.

  3. On coupe models, remove the rear seat bolster, then remove the four seat back-to-package tray retaining bolts.

  4. Remove the seat back from the vehicle.

To install:

  1. Position the seat back in the vehicle.

  2. On coupe models, install the four seat back-to-rear package tray bolts and tighten them until secure. Install the rear seat bolster.

  3. For convertible models, press the seat back down until the retaining hooks are engaged, then install the two rear seat back and frame-to-body bolts; tighten them until secure.

  4. Install the rear seat cushion.
