Part Return to an AutoZone store
To return a part to an AutoZone store, simply take the part, its original box and the shipping invoice to the store of your choice. Please drain any fluids out of the part before returning it. Also, if possible, take the credit card used to purchase the part and the store will immediately credit it for the price of the part.

You will be reimbursed for shipping costs if we made a shipping error or if the part was defective when shipped from AutoZone.com.

All gift card sales are final and gift cards cannot be returned.

All returns to an AutoZone store are subject to the in-store return policy.

Part Return to AutoZone.com
To return a part to AutoZone.com, first drain all fluids from the part. Then seal the part in the plastic bag included in the new part's box, and put it in the box with the Return Form (Section B) of the shipping invoice. Please be sure to fill out this portion of the invoice and insert it in the waterproof envelope included in the box. Place the return shipping label on the outside of the box and mail it.

We recommend using a carrier that provides package tracking to ensure your part gets back to AutoZone.com safely and quickly.

Your credit card will be credited for the full price of the part on the day we receive the package. You will be reimbursed for shipping costs if we made a shipping error or if the part was defective when shipped from AutoZone.com.

How to return the core for a part purchased at AutoZone.com:

Core return to an AutoZone store
To return your core to an AutoZone store, simply take the core and your shipping invoice to any AutoZone store. If you have the box in which the new part was shipped, please take it. If you take the credit card used to purchase the new part, the store will immediately credit it for the value of the returned core.

All returns to an AutoZone store are subject to the in-store return policy.

Core return to AutoZone.com
To return your core to AutoZone.com for credit, first drain all fluids from the part. Then seal the core in the plastic bag included in the new part's box, and put it in the box with the Return Form (Section B) of the shipping invoice. Please be sure to fill out this portion of the invoice and insert it in the waterproof envelope included in the box. Place the return shipping label on the outside of the box and mail it.

Your credit card will be credited with the core's value the day we receive and inspect it.

Your shipment of the core to AutoZone.com is considered a transfer of ownership, and we will be unable to return it to you.
